As a medical office administrative assistant, below are some things that I found to help me.

- Connect with patients
- Learn terminology
- Gain the trust of patients
- Be willing to do functions outside of your position description
- Be dependable
- Have a sense of ownership (this is your office)

As a medical office assistant, being Very organized is key. Staying on top of your assigned task is important. Medical offices are very fast-paced. Knowing your role and knowing the doctors your work for will take you a very long way.
