So see..Interior designers are perfect for a math project because they use geometry, area calculations, and scaling every single day! Here is how you can find someone to interview:

Look Locally: Search for local interior design boutique shops, kitchen/bath remodeling showrooms, or architectural firms in your area.

Reach Out: Send a short, polite email or call them saying: 'Hi, I am a student doing a math project on how mathematics is used in real-world careers. Would an interior designer at your firm have 10 minutes for a quick phone or email interview?'

Ask your network: Ask your family, friends, or teachers if they know anyone who works in interior design or home staging.

Great questions to ask them: Ask them how they use area and volume to calculate paint and flooring needs, how they use geometry and scale models to draw blueprints, and how they use math to manage client budgets. Most local designers will be happy to help a student...

I think when I tell you this, you'll have a face-palm moment. "Of course!" You have a computer or smart phone and you have the internet or know someone who does. You find out where folks who are interior designers work. You send email or make a phone call to their business. You simply ask the person on the phone if they can possibly connect you with someone who would be interested on helping out or giving advice or just the interview for the project you describe. You have a fantastic resource there, so there's little doubt you'll get someone to bite. And folks who are good at their job and like it are usually eager to share the joy.

If you're looking for interior designers on the Career Village platform to help with this, I would suggest tagging your post with "interior design". When it's tagged appropriately, the right people will be able to answer your question. I am a graphic designer not an interior designer otherwise I would happily help out.

As for outside of this platform, research around. You can start in your local area and see what interior design firms or schools are around and reach out. The answer is always "no" until you try.
