Leme’s Answer

It depends on your location, the job, and responsibilities with it. Most cooks I know (including me) depending on the establishment start out about minimum wage with little to no experience. The more experience you have, the more money you can make.

Dada’s Answer

A degree or a diploma in Culinary Arts is always an added advantage.
Meanwhile its always wise to seek an opinion from your local reputed restaurants esp the business aspects & payscale to give you better perspective .

I can only refer you to a link meanwhile as the payscale varies from place to place.

At the property an entry level cook (cook 3) makes 15.00$ an hour. These hourly rates go up as the skills and work of the cook does. Cook 2 makes 17.00$ an hour and lead cook 1 makes 18.00$ an hour
