Sigge’s Answer

I am sure there are many but far more important is that you work with something you love and are passionate about. That is lasting value. Money, no matter how much you earn, will never be enough.

Robert’s Answer

Depending on where you are located and what your skills and interests are, entry level positions in Financial Services can provide a great deal of useful information for you as someone new to the workforce. These positions often come with paid training.

Call Center and analytical/processing roles allow you to learn and build an employment history for yourself while learning business fundamentals. They also come with organic promotional opportunities if you are someone that can excel in these roles.

Lauren’s Answer

I would recommend starting with determining what skills and passions you have. Once you determine that, you can research the types of jobs or fields/industries where those interests and skills would be relevant or transferable. Then you can research the market for those types of roles (Ex: find out where opportunities are based, research job descriptions to see what a typical day would look like, salaries, what credentials/ certifications may be required)

Akash Alex’s Answer

Choosing a company or industry completely depends on what your interest is. If you feel you would want to pursue a particular field , first thing would be to talk to people who are currently in that field.

Understand the pros and cons , and then do thorough research . And then decide if you see yourself doing that line of work for the next 5 or 10 years.

The first 5 years of your career is always an experimental phase , post that you need to finalise on a particular field.

Akash Alex recommends the following next steps:

Decide what interests you current. And then research on various career options in that field.
