Frank’s Answer

Hello Misili M from Marine Corps Base Hawali HI., Thanks for your question. "What's the hardest part of your job" My current job is that of a remote TESOL Teacher so I never ever get to meet my audience face to face. They remain just portrait pictures and the only communication is by reading and writing both ways on my computer. What about you? It seems to be something like your Hashtags: painter construction job plus your location indicates MarineCorps ???

Frank recommends the following next steps:

Find four companions and make a team of 5. Brainstorm ideas around your themes...
Go to your computers and research your Hashtags#### discuss between you what makes you jobs feel the hardest?
Draw a mind map and find a common thread in your group. Expand and display to your buddies and get a debate going.
Get the whole base involved in your ideas and everyone has to bring a cake to share at coffee break time.
Write up your group report and publish your findings in the local newspaper. Send more questions to TESOL Teacher Frank. I cant wait to hear back from you Misili M and Team. Good Luck everyone!

Hi Misili,

It looks like you have tagged construction/painter. I run a small investment company that fixes up properties for rent. While I am not completing the work on a day to day basis, I believe I can provide some insight.

one of the hardest problems would be making sure to keep the customer happy. Assuming you are knowledgable about your trade, you will know how to best complete the project, but the customer will have their own opinions. It is important to be respectful and try to explain why you are going about your work in a certain manner if they have questions. If they wish for you to do something in a manner that you know isn't the best way, you can try to explain to them why you feel another way is better, but if they are persistent, i would just do what the customer wants.

Alway's be open to learning from someone as you never know if there is a more efficient way of doing the task and to really become skilled at whatever you learning. Learn as much as you can from others if they are willing to share as if you are in construction, be well rounded about the various trades will make you very valuable. Not only could you substitute in if a certain skill is needed, but you'll be to oversee a group if someone know's that you can also do that task.
