Philomena’s Answer

Yes I did medical history in year one and I believe it’s a good course to take. It tells you how medicine started, some medical methods that were common in some countries such as rhinoplasty can be dated back to ancient India, it was common there because thieves were punished by cutting of some part of the nose, then later doctors helped with some method rhinoplasty.
Before you start pharmacology in medicine you will do a bit of history in pharmacology which is all part of medicine. It will relate ancient herbal drugs to recent drugs.
It’s interesting and it helps

Estelle’s Answer

No, I did not have to take history in medicine school. However, my university did have history requirements as part of the core curriculum. Placing out of history with AP tests is a good option if you do not enjoy it.

Rahul’s Answer

No. Medical history forms a miniscule part of the actual curriculum , but that does not stop oneself from bieng inspired by the work of others. You only need to better that, isn't it?
