What are some ways of finding and landing an internship?

What are some of the ways you were able to find an internship? Is there a specific site that you go to find jobs and internships? and what are some tips on standing out from the rest of the applicants? If you have reviewed applicants before, is a resume with unique fonts and images a good way to stand? why or why not? If you'd like to add anything additional, please do :) #jobs #job-search #internship #application

Hi, Anudari!

The best way to find an internship would be to go through your school. If you are in college, there should be career fairs each semester. Treat the career fair like an interview. Dress professionally and bring multiple copies of your resume. If you are in high school, they should also have some opportunities to meet with a career counselor.

If you have exhausted those resources, the best websites for job searching would be indeed.com, linkedin.com, glassdoor.com, and careerbuilder.com.

It is not a good idea to use crazy fonts or images in your resume. Your resume should be clean and professional. The formating of the resume itself should not make you stand out. It is the content that should grab the reader's attention. I could go on for pages about resume tips, but overall, it would be best to sit with a career counselor who can go over your resume with you. A good website for resume tips and templates is themuse.com.

Best of luck!
