Would you recommend being an equine veterinarian or a small animal veterinarian?

I've talked to my equine vet and he's told me before to be a small animal vet because they have better hours and get paid more. The reason I'm asking this is because I have a true passion for horses and I've grown up with them, but I also love small animals. Any advice at all would help me greatly! #veterinarian #veterinary-medicine #equine #science #medicine

Veterinarians work on many types of animals as you know. Did you also know they have been to space? My point is that you may go to school thinking that you want to work on horses - as many of my classmates did - and end up doing something completely different - as many of my classmates did. Also look at the cost of veterinary school, average starting salary, and average student loan debt on graduation. Good Luck!
