Physical Therapy

If I'm wanting to go down the path of physical therapy, what should I get my bachelor's in, Athletic Training, or Kinesiology? (I'm wanting to be more of a Sports Physical therapist, working with sports related injuries.) #physical-therapist #athletic-training #physical-trainer

I would suggest, pre-med, athletic training and if you can participate in any sports in college such as intramural that would help too.

Hi Deja, I suggest pursuing a kinesiology degree. It covers the study of movement and includes most of the classes you'll need for a solid foundation in PT school, like anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise physiology. This degree also helps you meet most PT school prerequisites, so it's efficient. Plus, it can help you decide if being a PT is right for you. I also recommend finding a PT mentor. You can create a LinkedIn account to connect with one to shadow or look for a job in a clinic.
