How long do lawyers have to be in school?

I would like to become a lawyer but I do not know if I would like to spend more than eight years in college #law

Most accredited law schools have 3-year programs. If you do a joint degree (such as a JD-MA, which is a law degree + master's degree) there is a chance you may be able to shave a semester or two off your legal education since you're committed to the other degree. But in general, prepare for 3 years of school. Good luck!
