Is it a good idea to pursue an executive program?

I'm currently an undergraduate student, but I would still like to know the benefits of pursuing an executive program. Is it worth the money? and just what kind of an impact does it have on your career? #learning #executive

Tricia’s Answer

Go to work first in that field and be sure you want to spend a lot of time and money to get it. Then see if it will meet your career goals. Talk to alumni to see if it fits the bill for you. In general I know graduate degrees can be worth it, exec programs maybe and maybe not.

if you already have relevant experience in your chosen field, and are mid career, then yes an executive program is really helpful to propel your career forward. its really all about timing to ensure you get the most bang for your buck. for example, i wouldn't get an executive MBA or spend time or money on a program if i have less than 5years of experience.
