What are the top schools in California in hopes to pursue a career in sports broadcasting, following college?

I am a high school junior and am beginning to explore my options for my future following high school. It has been a dream of mine for quite some time to be involved in sports, particularly the NBA, as a post game interviewer. I would appreciate any tips or advice to get started in this industry. #sportsbroadcasting #college #interviewer #sports

USC and San Jose State University are two beautiful options for big schools with a well-known journalism and sports broadcasting programs in Cali!

Even though you are pursuing broadcasting, I recommend joining the sports staff of your college paper. You will learn to write and how to ask questions. Also, right now, begin to learn as much as you can about the NBA, past and present. Read books by and about NBA coaches -- learn how they think about the game.

The University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism has a great Broadcast Journalism program where you can pursue options to emphasize in sports. I have also heard great things about NYU's program.
