Absolutely! Ask your employer if you can list him/her as a reference on you application, it's a nice touch. Colleges will be looking at your potential to financially support your education plans, so if you've demonstrated that you're employed and working, that's a plus - it demonstrates initiative, value, and income potential to help make ends meet :-)
