Advice for a mature student part-time PhD?
Having previously finished my studies at Masters level and after spending a number of years in industry in operational technical roles, I've started doing more research work and found myself underqualified for research positions, having not originally completed a PhD. I'm fortunate that my employer has been able to support a part-time PhD to rectify this - however, as someone coming back into University as a part-time mature student, what change of mindset from my current industrial work approach do I need to be successful in a PhD and in research work?
How to pay for living expenses over the breaks?
I'm a 24, soon to be 25, year old independent student hoping to start again full time in the fall at a community college and later transfer to a 4 year college to get a bachelor's in animation. Are there any part-time, remote (and preferably entry-level) jobs someone turning 18 could do?
What paid jobs can I apply at as someone about to turn 18 completing her high school degree? I'm in the Philippines, so I'm searching for part-time remote work flexible to students' schedules (I can work nights). Most of my previous experiences are ambassadorships in large nonprofits (mentoring 100+ people and hosting events) and business-related internships (in an NYC consulting agency and a nonprofit for students, all remote) where I handle many people. I have also volunteered as an assistant teacher for two years from 2023 to 2025. I can work in Excel, data entry, virtual assisting, operations, and recruiting. However, part-time, remote entry-level jobs on sites like Indeed are scarce. Apologies if it was so long and if I'm overly idealistic.

What's my next step for the summer as a rising senior intending to major in pharmacology if most are not available?
Following up with my previous question on what part time job I can get for pharmacology, I tried applying for a pharmacy clerk position at a local Walgreen. However, Michigan law (where I'm at) says that we must have a high school diploma to get a job at a pharmacy. Same with most hospitals: most prefer if you are in college or have at least some medical experience. I am still waiting for a couple internship summer program results. I'm also trying to reach out to local college professors, research centers, and small pharmaceutical companies if they would let me intern over the summer, but I'm not so sure if they would take me in. I do have a great volunteer work though! Been going at it for the last couple months at a blood donation center :) Any other suggestions on what I can do over the summer to prepare myself for college?
