I am a current high school senior who has been accepted to and enrolled at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for meteorology. My first semester is Fall 2025, and I am trying to prepare myself for freshman year. I already have a potential roommate, but I am looking for tips for my first year. My fall semester consists of 6 classes (Chemistry, Chemistry lab, Calc 1, English, Weather, and a general college success course), and I am worried about managing my time. It will also be the first time living dorm-style, and I don't know what to expect. Any college tips would help!

How can I get the best graduate school offer?

I am a college transfer student pursuing Mechanical Engineering. My mom remarried a few months ago, and consequently, my SAI went from $8,000 to $45,000. Thus, I received no financial aid, and I must take out student loans to completely pay for my schooling, as my mom cannot support me. I am worried about the debt, and I want to know what approach I can take to ensure I can pursue my master's degree without more loans, allowing myself to start chipping away at my student debt directly out of undergrad. How can I best accomplish this?

What would be the best ways to find which field I'm the most interested in?

I'm a psychology major, and I'm halfway through my bachelor's, but I'm still not exactly sure what would be the best course of action to find out what specific field interests me the most. And as much as I would like to do internships, I also want to make sure I get paid, so I can continue to pay for school. I already know I'm not really interested in psychiatry or being research focused, however with research I'm more open to the idea.

I'm an undergraduate education major passionate about student affairs and student success. My goal is to become a college dean or higher education leader. What steps should I take now to prepare for this career path?

I'm currently an undergraduate education major, and I'm passionate about working in student affairs and student success. My dream is to become a college dean or hold a leadership role in higher education, where I can help students thrive both academically and personally. I’m involved in campus leadership, event planning, and student organizations, and I want to make sure I’m on the right track for my future. What steps should I be taking now to prepare for a career in student affairs or higher ed leadership? Are there specific internships, grad programs (like a Master’s in Higher Education or Student Affairs), or professional experiences that would help me stand out? I'd also love any tips on building a strong network in the field or getting mentorship from professionals in higher education.

What career paths would you recommend for someone who came to the U.S. after fleeing conflict and starting over with a language barrier, and who now wants to turn that struggle into a purpose — not just for survival, but to make a real difference?

I came to the United States from Afghanistan after the Taliban took over. Back home, I didn’t have access to education, especially as a girl, and when I arrived here, I struggled with the language barrier. Despite all of that, I’ve been working hard to succeed in school. I’m still figuring out what career path to choose, but I want to find something meaningful — a way to use my experiences to help others and make an impact. I would really appreciate honest advice from professionals who’ve overcome challenges or started from nothing.

Are there student exchange or study abroad programs for after high school or a college student?

I was wondering if there are any of these types of programs available to do after I finish high school or when I start college. Do I need to be a student in order to become an exchange or study abroad student? Do I have to be in college at a university or does a community college work as well? What other options are available for someone looking to travel and see the world but go to school at the same time? What are the costs, pros/cons, and how can I do it?
