[closed] What is a great way to start out as an office manager?

Hello,
I am a business college senior, and I have an interest in business administration. My major is with management. I would like to utilize my academic knowledge of business in general in order to success as an office manager. However, I do not currently have any real world experience. What is a common way that business students can prepare for the professional workplace, so that they can earn a comfortable yearly salary and do what they love? I look forward to incorporating my general level of knowledge with a bachelor's degree for a job soon.

Thank you,
Aimee #business #management #office

Hi Aimee

To me really difficult to jump directly in a role of office manager . My suggestion should be : do the job and understand the challenges the people You will have to manage are facing . So You will increase your skills and knowledge and get credibility for your coming role of manager.
Second : try to have a mentor with the same function to share his/her experiences and ask for advice in several situation
Another possibility is to look after a position of assistant of an office manager to see how real situations are

Good Luck

Chris
