[closed] What are some weaknesses of the positions of managers?

Hello,

My name is Aimee, and I am a business major. I like learning about management; administration is another passion that I am pursuing. Managers cannot do everything, thus they sometimes delegate tasks to others because of time or skill restraints. If there was one thing that managers have to work on improving, what it is? Business office managers can help with many things like setting up appointment and answering calls as assistants. I figured they would have to make things work in response to restraints.

Hi Aimee,


Many managers tend to micro-manage their reports, which symbolizes the lack of trust towards them. This prevents the development of the reports into independent employees, who can take responsibility.
Some managers tend to do the work by themselves mostly when it it something important or something which can be used for PR.
Some managers use their reports to do the "dirty work" and present it then like their work.
Some managers do not listen to / pay attention to what their report tell him.
Some managers do not recognize nor reward the work done by their reports.


All of above mentioned has a destructive affect on the team and such team can´t be effective not successful for a long period.
