So first you should figure out if you want domestic travel or international travel.

If domestic, Nursing may be a good choice for you, as you stay somewhere for several weeks at a time. Sales roles and Event Management roles also involve A LOT of travel, so you may enjoy those too.

In terms of international travel, working for a global company is good. Practicing medicine (doctor, nurse, etc.) in a foreign country may a little harder just because there are less opportunities.

Travel agents don't really exist anymore, but instead of helping people plan a holiday, helping companies or groups plan events is similar. Site inspections is code for experiencing the fun without the cost.

Good luck!

Top-tier Management consulting companies such as McKenzie, Deloitte, Accenture, and others will allow you to travel a lot! Maybe too much, as you may end up traveling Monday through Thursday every week.

These companies hire out of college in the high $90K's.

You need good critical thinking, organizational, and social skills for this line of work.

Haley’s Answer

opportunities for travelling while working are definitely increasing because of the pandemic so i have to disagree with the above! so many more companies are remote now. i work in sales at a tech start up and its all from my computer so as long as i have wifi, i can work and they do not care about where i am.
id also consider working holiday visas for something short term (and very fun). youve got your WHOLE life to start a career... or never really start one:) i just finished 3 years in australia where i would work for a couple months (hospitality or farm work which i never thought id do but LOVED living on farms) then quit, travel the country or surrounding countries for a couple months, get another job for 3 months... repeat repeat! there are a few countries with this option you can look into

Linda’s Answer

Once the pandemic clears, there might be more opportunities but they not as great as they were.

Education actually offers travel, if no more than summer abroad programs, particularly for English education, and International Educator is a great resource for opportunities and can inform you about the lifestyle. Pharmaceutical companies need various types of employees to travel. There are professional hotel inspectors, as well as various service providers for cruise ships and the like. Many global organizations like Habitat for Humanity or the Nature Conservancy hire some employees. I can even imagine a rise in demand for travel writers, even now.

For me, I decided what occupation that I wanted, for various reasons, and then found foreign organizations that wanted me for my profession. One of my cousins, a mechanic, traveled, domestically and internationally, to repair the equipment of his manufacturing employer. While another cousin and spouse had careers together in the foreign service, one an administrator and the other a "security guard."

Linda recommends the following next steps:

What would you like to do daily?
Who would employ that worker in the places where you want to go?
Also, choosing a field in which you can develop many skills will provide the most opportunities.
