What kind of Job do you have if you went to school for construction work?

I am a middle school student. I would like to be a construction worker. I think that I would be pretty good at this job. #school #student #construction#classes #work

Hi Nate,
Since you are still in middle school there are many opportunities ahead of you in High School. Vocational school or programs deals with some of the construction trades. Plumbing, Painting, Drywall, Heating and Cooling, just to name a few. Personally I am a painter/drywall finish. There are also degrees from universities and colleges that offer Construction Project Management: Handling the planning, budgeting and supervisory aspects of a construction project. Architecture: Designing and planning various types of construction projects. Carpentry: Constructing, repairing and installing building frameworks and other structures. Mechanical Engineering: Designing and constructing machinery used inside buildings, such as elevators, escalators, air-conditioning systems, electric generators and conveyor systems. Surveying: Providing boundary line and terrain data to prepare sites for construction. You can pursue an education in construction by earning a certificate, an Associate’s degree or a Bachelor of Science. Certificate Program: Typically completed within 6-12 months. Associate’s Degree: Typically completed within 2 years. Bachelor of Science Degree: Typically completed within 4 years.

Get a job as an apprentice for one of the trade to see if you like it.
