Hello,
It's very likely many programs will transition from a Masters level program to a doctorate degree. Although this won't necessarily impact how we practice or expand the role of the PA, it essentially keeps us in step with our NP colleagues who have largely moved towards doctorate degrees. So, it will occur gradually, but more and more programs will likely move towards doctorate degrees for PAs.
