To what extent does engineering background required you to be skilled in the analysis of technical reports or information?

I am ambitious senior in high school who wants to explore the opportunities that is available for me to grab onto. I want/need to know how skilled i need to be to pursue the goal I have. #mechanical-engineering #civil-engineering #architecture #architectural-engineering

You must be very proficient in the English language and be able to interpret and understand what is being said. In today's contracting world, Contractors hire a staff for the specific purpose to find a flaw, misunderstanding, ambiguity or any inconsistencies in contracts which they can then exploit to extract more money for the project. It works for them!

Often in design and engineering, we are tasked with reading reports from consultants. These reports may be quite extensive, and complex. The idea is not to understand everything, but to realize that if you have questions, you HAVE to ask.
