This is going to get a bit personal.
It's great to want to help your family out, but you should really have a conversation with them about what sort of help they need.
During and after school, I expended a lot of time and money trying to give my family things that I felt that I owed them. It set me back years financially and compounded a lot of stress that I really did not need to take on.
Remember to take care of yourself, too, bud.
As far as how you hope to help them, try everything and give it your all, but recognize that professional athletics are extremely difficult to turn into a profit. It may work out that your energy is better used focusing purely on academics and a career, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Fingers crossed that you can start off with an athletic scholarship of some kind. Hope this helps.

Hi Javin,
I've worked with individuals who have played college sports and made it to the professional level. My advice to you is to be a student first, because your education is something you'll always be able to fall back. Choose a college that provides you with an opportunity to play football and supports you in your academics; if you can get an academic scholarship that will be the best case scenario. While playing, it's important to learn as much as possible about how the game works, get your playing time in order to get proper film, and focus on your body's health. Having a healthy, consistent, and prosperous college career is what will give you the possibility to reach the professional level.
Because reaching the professional level is quite difficult, don't let that discourage you, but have realistic expectations and a back-up plan. It's important that you choose a major that you're passionate about, so you can still have a successful career if you don't continue on with football.
Hope this helps. Best of luck to you!
