Hey Bethelhem!

Here is a good resource to know how many hours you will be working:
https://www.facs.org/education/resources/medical-students/lifestyle

You'll have a lot of long work hours and weird shifts, but it is possible to balance work/life. Here's a good forum to find some more info: https://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/can-a-cardiothoracic-surgeon-have-a-good-work-life-balance.1085946/

Make sure you are getting into something you love and not for the money. You'll burn out very quickly and do a poor job. Good luck! You can google search for more info.
