Patricia’s Answer

I love your entrepreneurial heart!
I had the same questions at your age. Do not let your age stop you if you have a good idea. Do your research and pursue it.

Start simply. You are never too young to learn the process. It starts with a lot of planning.

1. Write a simple business plan outline. It should say what your idea is, how it works, what problem it solves, what is unique about it, who you would sell to, and how much money you think it would cost to get the supplies needed.

2. Think about the area where you live or search on Google if you can find other businesses with your idea.

3. If you find other people doing the same thing you want to do, make a list of what your idea has that is better and what the other people have that is better than yours.

4. Talk to your parents/teacher/trusted adult(grandparents etc.) about what your idea is and show them your business plan. They can give you advice to take the next steps to get the money needed to start or what else you

Always keep asking questions. That is a good trait for a business owner.

Good Luck!

Sujatha’s Answer

Any business starts with passion. Figure out what you are passionate about, or you are good at.
What business? How you want to do it? Who are your customers?
Then try to learn and pay attention to that line of business.
Think about things you can do that others are not doing in that area of business.
Tell a story as you why you want to start a business and how and why. Connect your story to people you want to help or serve
Always be willing to overcome challenges ( its a long journey to start business; big or small). It take commitment to succeed / long hours/ constant learning .
Figure out what makes you happy and what is your goal?. - Money? smiles on your customer? solving a problem? - All these three can coexist and goes hand in hand, but for some one is important to other. So be honest with yourself.

.
Not knowing what your business of interest is - I will pick an example to walk you through some things to think ---

1. Want to have your own bakery

What:
What do you like about bakery, what is your passion for baking?
What would you like to do different to all existing bakeries?
What does it takes to start a bakery ( location/ finances ( start small))

How:
How different are your bakes to other bakery places ?
How do you want bake? - Use high tech? create new ideas of baking? create new flavors etc etc

who:
Are your bakes for kids ? adults ? or both?
Are you also going to help people who cannot eat sweets enjoy bakes?

There are so many aspects to a business , hopefully my broader overview will give you a starting point to think
