Hey Jayden,

I make my own clothing designs on the side as a hobby and the way I got started was by first having a design in mind, one that I really believed in and felt would be attractive to other people. One thing to keep in mind is if you don't believe in your product first, others may have a hard time believing in it as well. Once you've accomplished that first step I would look into what are some of the equipment that you would need to get started. It doesnt have to be expensive but you do want good quality equipment to help get you started. In my case, I invested in a basic Cricut machine and a heat press to get me started and because people believed in my product, it did well when I started marketing. I would then use the internet as a great resource to get pricing ideas so that you can begin to figure how much you can invest and how much you can charge for your items so that you can profit. Typically a simple google search of "wholesale shirts" or "bulk shirts" will help you find shirts at cost, for example. Hopefully this helps add some value.

Take Care!

Hi! Congrats on starting out early! When starting a clothing brand it’s very important to start on the branding.

“What do you want your brand to represent, to stand for etc?”

From there you can go to designing, you can connect with a graphic designer to create your logo, graphics + design for your clothing.

Once you have that you can connect with a wholesale factory or embroider who can create the pieces with your graphics.

Then you’re ready! Good luck!
