What would you recommend the best route is to get into sports media?

Start covering sports for your school newspaper/web page. Also, take photography courses that will increase your value. Of course, quality writing is a must. Find a team you enjoy covering and make it your season beat.

- Start working for your school newspaper and/or broadcasting club to build your skills and gain experience in this field
- While you're in high school, start researching and visiting schools with good sports broadcasting/media/journalism programs that you are interested in
- Once you become a junior/senior start applying to the colleges from above that you are most interested in attending
- Once you are accepted to a college and attend, maintain good grades, but also make sure you are getting involved in internships on and off campus that will give you hands-on experience working with/for sports teams and their media outlets
