Ruth’s Answer

Hello
When it come to hair, what you make depends on you. That means you determine what the clients pay, it will sometimes vary depending on several factors including State, Location, are your clients coming to you or you are going to them etc. So what you make actually depends on you.

Tyler’s Answer

Hey there,
Your prices are always up to you; some people will want to pay and some won't. Remember, set your prices for the clientele you would like to service and attract.

Denise’s Answer

That’s a difficult question to answer definitely. If you do only haircuts then you won’t make very much with 2-3 clients a day. If you do mostly chemical services with haircuts then it would be significantly more. If you offer specialty services like perms or Brazilian Blowouts, for example, then it would be even more. I would suggest getting specialized in something like coloring, cutting or chemical straightening or even become specialized in doing vivid colors. Be the very best at what you love doing and market yourself for that and you could make quite a bit. As a seasoned hairdresser I can honestly say that I’m not the very best at every single aspect of hairdressing. I am, however, a certified color specialist. I work alone so I can be choosy about the services I will do. I charge my worth. I’m also certified in Brazilian Blowouts and I really enjoy those. I’ve made as much as $500 in two hours doing a Brazilian and a haircut. That’s not bad. Just be the best at what do and what you love and the money will come. Good luck!!
