Can I take personal statement writing help for university admission?
Hey everyone,
I just finished school, and I am about to apply to university, but I need to write a personal statement that can showcase me in the best way possible. As I lack at showcasing my skills and talents, I was thinking if I can take help from personal statement writing services online and get my application completed with better word choice. I would love to get any suggestion and recommendation regarding that here.

This is the part of your application where you get to show who you are as a person- your voice, your personality, and what you find important to talk about. It is not just a list of strengths that anyone can write down based on your resume. Getting someone else to write it for you wholesale defeats the purpose of the personal statement. Remember that a personal statement can be and discuss whatever you want. If you're not comfortable writing about "a time in your life when you had to make a tough decison," opt for something you ARE able to talk at length about. I, for example, wrote my personal statement on a hobby I had and why it was important to me.
That being said, these essay services can be helpful in making sure that your original draft is punched up to be grammatical and well-structured. You can also get this help from a college or guidance counselor at your school. You also may be able to ask a fellow student to proof read it, either a friend or a student in the English Honors Society who helps with writing tutoring and editing.

Absolutely, most colleges has personnel who are considered experts at assisting students with this task. Reaching out to your college student advisor could definitely help with that. There are online service where someone can basically write a well articulated novel but I recommend having papers reviewed for proofing only.

I think it's fine, and appropriate, to do some research on how to organize your thoughts and how to write letters. It is also appropriate to review sample letters that others have written. Beyond that, you need to be the full author of your letter. Your letter is a means to show who you are. If you send a letter written by someone else, you're misleading the university by presenting a document that isn't you. Once, done, it's fine to review syntax, punctuation, and readability. Ask a friend to read for understanding. But do NOT let the friend rewrite it. You will feel much better on acceptance to know that the university saw your words and that it was your words and your organization of your letter that they read. Thank you for asking. Now go write that letter. :)

There's nothing wrong with asking for help for personal statements. Just remember that when writing a personal statement for college admissions clarity is key. A personal statement is often a very focused self introduction with this in mind remember to not sell yourself short. I know that often times you want to be humble with how you present yourself, which is good, but that shouldn't come at the cost of down playing your talents.

I always recommend to reflect upon your experiences and explore why they make you the best student for your chosen course. Also, speak to your teachers at school for further guidance. Its not an easy process and will take you many drafts, but bullet point your key points prior to writing the whole PS.
