DISCOVERING JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR INEXPERIENCED TEENAGERS
I encourage you to engage in a conversation with your school counselor or reach out to your local unemployment office. They are well-equipped to guide you towards job opportunities that welcome inexperienced teenagers. Another promising avenue to explore is your local health department. In certain regions, a worker's permit is mandated for teens under a specific age to work. Therefore, they would have a good understanding of employers who are open to hiring inexperienced teens. I trust this guidance will be beneficial for you. Good luck on your exciting journey to find employment.

Check with your school’s guidance/career office and also your city to see if they have a youth jobs program. If the city doesn’t have one or you are not eligible, you still have options, such as babysitting and dog walking. If you can afford to do so, consider (unpaid) volunteer work at a local business or organization. This will give you experience, skills and references to apply for paid work going forward.
