Niki’s Answer

Throughout the various phases of your life, your interpretation of success will naturally evolve.
For instance, at the onset of your career, simply securing a job may be considered a triumph.
As you age, however, your priorities might shift, and you may start to value a harmonious work-life balance that allows quality time with your loved ones.

Remember, there's no one-size-fits-all definition of success - it's flexible and personal.
Embrace the journey, as success isn't a one-off event - don't get too caught up in hitting certain milestones.

It's crucial to avoid adopting other people's definitions of success, and don't assume that everyone else has all the answers either.

Gabriela’s Answer

Firstly, it's important to establish your personal definition of success right now (as this will keep changing in your life as you age, just as Niki said above). Could it be having sufficient financial resources to maintain your independence? Or perhaps it's finding joy and self-fulfillment in your chosen profession? Maybe it's receiving acknowledgement and praise for your efforts from your immediate supervisor and peers? Or could it be contributing to a reputable organization, or alternatively, a lesser-known entity that nonetheless has a significant positive influence on society through its work?

Fred’s Answer

The first thing you need to do is define what "successful" means to you. It could be making $X a year. It could be being married with two kids. It could mean having travelled the world.

There is simply no universal definition of success that everyone agrees with. What matters is what YOU think being successful means.

Enise’s Answer

Hello Gug,

If you have previously experienced volunteering, and/or imternship, and/or part-time job, you may know your prior feelings on your achievements. You may not be aware of you success (as I did before), you may continue with your work at the X company. Your success starts with your interests; it can be a singer once if are passionate about music, a designer if you are passionate about fine art or just art and computer, a writer if you write stories, a book reviewer if you are enjoying reading as a bookworm, an actress/actor if you are playing an Shakespeare role in drama, an advisor if you were previously a mentor and/or an advisor at school, a psychologist if you want to solve problems… It could be more, yet I cannot write here.
Once you know your interest, you can start to join a club or volunteering. It can gives you your confidence, and it is an advantage of knowing your soft and hard skills as well as emotional intelligence, and you can enhance yourself and create your route plan for your future path. Once you have completed, you may continue with internship and/or a part-time job, which can give your strength and you can be a hard-worker for your better future, and you can add your CV/resume. Your CV/resume should be strong enough to send to recruiter, or send it once you applied on the internet. If you passed interviews and group work assignment, you can celebrate your success.

If you are in middle or high school, you may need higher grades for university. I do not know your major, but you need to be punctual, hard-worker, have a discipline. You may start reading books and finish your homework, and prepare your exams in order to achieve your goals. You can make some notes and create a summarize sheet for each exam. During your academic year, you can look at all opportunities (club, volunteering etc.), and see if a club or volunteering matches with your interest. You should have your free time to join a club, or a volunteering as a student.
Once you graduated from the middle or high school and you have higher grades enough, you can apply to university.

If you are studying at the university right now, you can look at extrracurricular opportunities (volunteering, career-mentoring, internship, part-time job at the university or X firm/company). You may choose either internship, part-time job, and/or mentorship. To be a successful person, you can create a plan of your career path, and create your strong CV/resume for your application process. You should have also your interview presentation skills to introduce yourself, your interest in that business, your previous experiences, your soft and hard skills as well as emotional intelligence if it matches you really, and your salary expectations… Once you passed your interviews and a group work assignment, you can celebrate your success.

I hope this helps.
