Paul’s Answer

Probably the best social opportunities are found in Student Life.

This provides leadership opportunities on campus, provides campus tours, engages in student government activities, and other campus functions.

Most students, on average, take about 5 years to get a bachelors degree.

And Yes, there is an international program on campus that provides study abroad opportunities.

Hi Franchesca,

It's good to hear from you! You can join clubs, fellowships, and activities, in college. Therefore you can meet new people and make new friends. It really depends! Most college students graduate in four to five years. Some students may take a semester off or a gap year. You can study abroad internationally.

Student years are one of the most enjoyable and rewarding periods of human life. Although they are also full of hard work, dedication and various challenges, academic life is unforgettable!
Finding good educational opportunities depends on your field and other personal circumstances. You can apply for different study abroad programs, both online and in-person. Through the internet, you can also find fully funded scholarships to cover your study expenses.

Alan’s Answer

Franchesca, rather than write about the College I taught at, let me answer the question more generally. There are many social opportunities for students. There are clubs, societies and many activities. Plus, college is just more socially oriented than high school, since students control their own time schedules.

As for how long it takes to graduate, many students take more than the traditional four years because they have job or family demands, personal or financial difficulties, or just prefer to take it a bit slower. There is the option of taking a class or two in the summer, and often the winter break, so as to lessen the loads in the fall and spring semesters. It's entirely up to you, unless you have a scholarship that requires a specific number of credits per semester or time frame for completion.

I can't speak knowledgeably about opportunities abroad, but they certainly do exist.
