How long does it take to be a storm chaser?

Hello Gabriel,
Yes you definitely want to look into studying to be a meteorologist. As there is a lot you need to learn in studying storm structures, RADAR, Satellite images and more about the science so you can safely storm chase. I went to SUNY Oswego and they have a Storm Chasing Program for 2 weeks each summer. The Summer right after I graduated I was selected to the Storm Chasing Program and I learned so much being out in the field driving and chasing storms across the US. Look for schools that offer these types of opportunities and it is well worth it.
