How else should I save up for next term besides applying for scholarships / grants and working part-time?

I need money for the fall and right now work part-time on the weekends and attending classes during the weekdays, I simply won't have enough time to thoroughly search for scholarships and such in time. #college-advice #college-tuition

Danielle’s Answer

Turn your passions into extra cash. If there is something fun you enjoy doing outside of school and part-time work, post ads to do the work on craigslist. This was a way I often got a bit of extra cash through editing jobs. Are you creative in any way? Paint pictures or make cards or create cutesy signs for people to hang in their homes and sell it on Etsy!

Danielle recommends the following next steps:

Make a list of passion projects (all the things you love to do that aren't school or work)
Narrow that list down to projects that could potentially earn you some extra money.
Do some research on Craigslist or Etsy to find out what others might sell similar products for.
Pick a project, post it and start selling!

We are can all squeeze some time out for important things in our life, on our way to work, on your breaktime, sleep 30 minutes late every other night, even turn off all your social media connection temporary so you can use these time slots to research about scholarships. The time that you sacrifice now will totally worth it. Education may not guarantee you a dream job but open the door for your to find your dream job. So, please do research on this subject and good luck!

It sounds like you are headed in the right direction. If you can work and still do well in your classes, you should work part-time. You should also seek out all the scholarships and grants your college offers. Although it is time consuming to seek out scholarships, it is well-worth it considering the return on investment.
