And it's free. So ask any questions you may have about specific careers or school and we are happy to help !
Since you are a student, either in high school or college, ages 14 to 24, I would like to advise that you should participate in the New York City Summer Youth Employment Program. Information about this is at the link below. Through this program, you will receive a paid job and a job counselor and it is free to you as well as you getting paid for your job placement. This way, you will earn a salary and have a job counselor to whom you can ask any career questions to. Plus you'll be getting valuable work experience. This program usually accepts applications in April so I highly advise that you stay on top of this valuable opportunity. The 2024 info is not posted yet, but you can familiarize yourself with the information by going to the website.
Another opportunity is to find out more about the Public Library's Career Services and any Job Fairs they offer. There is always someone there to answer questions you may have and it's free. They offer career coaching, One on One Job Support, Webinars and more. If you wanted to hire a Career Advisor, you'd have to pay a cost for their services, but you have many resources where you live that you, as a student, can have the opportunity to participate in many other services, too. Just do a search on line and remember to come back to Career Village and ask questions.
