I'm interested in coding and computers but I have not been informed about what jobs include these attributes?
I want to learn more about what jobs would be good fits for me and my style of work. I would like to know more about what kinds of opportunities would be a good fit for me. A job that includes coding and computers would be a nice fit for my style of working but I don't know which exact jobs include coding and computers.

Hi Paymahn! "Software Engineer" is a general industry term for someone that codes and writes software for a living, so that's a good neutral term that can be used when searching for jobs. That said, there's often more specific terms that can pop up when looking for more specific jobs! I'm in the web software development world, so here's a lot of titles that I run into frequently:
* "Backend Engineers" write server software
* "Frontend Engineers" create the portions of websites that users interact with in their browser
* "Fullstack Engineers" do some frontend, some backend.
* "Site Reliability Engineers" and "Devops Engineers" make sure that all your software continues to run
* "Database Engineers" optimize how your web application stores data
And there's so many more!

The thing is that Software Engineering is a very broad discipline, so I think the important thing is to understand that Software Engineering (and coding) really means that you solve problems with code. Going to a job website like indeed.com or glassdoor.com can be a good way to get started. Go ahead and look at the job title of software engineer and then see the companies that are hiring and, more importantly, read the job descriptions.
If you like games, there are game companies where you can write code for games. If you have websites you like to browse, they're made by coders. If there are applications you like using like discord--that's also made by software engineers. Try to find a company with that does something that you feel passionate about and see if they hire software engineers. Coding is one of the most in-demand skills in the world today, so the answer to what kinds of opportunities you can get is: you can do almost anything!

3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.

5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in colleges
