Hi Asen! Many people have provided solid advice below, but I would just like to offer some additional practical advice for how to learn any skill in life. First, find out what type of learner you are (auditory, visual, tactile, etc.) and tailor your education on communication that way. There are free quizzes online to determine this.

If you are interested in improving your written and oral communication, I would almost treat this as if you were learning a second language - you need to immerse yourself in the language. Listen to podcasts or watch Youtube videos on topics that you find interesting so you can expose yourself to new words, ways of thinking, learn how to ask thought provoking questions, understand how to formulate thoughtful and concise answers, etc. Access free resources from your public library to read books, listen to audible books, and sign up for a free newsletter from a publication you are interested in to improve written communication skills. Practice striking up conversations with the check-out clerk at the grocery store (small talk can be hard, but it's very rewarding) or chat with people online if that's where your comfortable. Engage with real humans either online or IRL and use some of the skills you've learned.

The last thing I will say is always stay curious! If you don't know what a word means or want to research a topic someone mentioned in a conversation, write it down in a notes app on your phone and look it up later. With practice you will gain more confidence and communicating will be easier and fun!

Hi Asen!

I think the Golden Rule "Treat others the way you want to be treated" is the best to keep in mind.

Lots of these answers are great, I think the most important thing to do is to be mindful and think about all the interactions you have. Whenever someone talks to you, the teacher speaks, or when you communicate with others you can reflect. Think about what you liked about the interaction, and what /you/ ultimately want to come off as to others!
