What is a good major for Pre-medical Studies?

I want to go to become a doctor and I know most are Biological Science majors but I saw that are more pre-med majors but I have never heard anyone with a different major.

Becoming a doctor does requires a strong science education but you'll get plenty of it. You'll take the req'd pre-med courses before applying to medical school. Once in medical school, you'll take more science classes, and this continues into residency and beyond, with ongoing CME courses to maintain your board certification.

Medical schools look for a well-rounded education, so as long as you complete the prerequisites, most schools state that they will accept an undergraduate degree in any field. If I could go back, I’d would have chosen the philosophy degree with a minor in medical ethics that my school offered. Medical school often lacks theory-based courses and training in decision-making with limited information.

Pursue an undergraduate degree in a field that interests you while completing the required pre-med courses. (of course if your hoping to get into specific schools be sure to look Taking diverse and interesting classes can enhance your education and prepare you for medical school but if an overall science major like biology or chemistry IS what interests you feel free to connect that "why" when you apply to medical school.
