Why is PreCalculus hard for some people and not for others?

I am asking because a lot of people in my class are struggling in it except for a few people. #math , #high school

We all have individual strengths and subjects we either excel or do not. It is not a weakness. You have to capitalize on your strengths. If you need tutors to help, then get tutors. If math courses are really difficult for you, only choose the ones you absolutely have to have. We use math in our every day life without even realizing. We just don't identify what particular part of math we're using.

Like lori said, everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. One thing about pre-calc is that it is basically a combo class of higher-level algebra and introductory trigonometry. While the algebra is usually fresh in people's heads from taking it previous semesters and having base knowledge to build upon, the trig is typically all new. It tends to catch people off guard, since math in most years builds up rather than introducing something new.

What I would suggest is, if you're planning on taking pre-calc yourself, maybe find some introductory trigonometry videos on Khan Academy or YouTube! The basics would include knowing the unit circle, trig functions, trig identities, and possibly a bit about how to use radicals instead of degrees. Hope this helps!
