Kei’s Answer

1. Define Your Brand Identity
Identify a topic or theme you're passionate about—something you could discuss endlessly. This becomes your niche and helps you build a dedicated audience that connects with your authentic self. Consistency is key, so choose an identity you can maintain long-term, as followers value authenticity in influencers.

2. Set Realistic Goals
Establish clear milestones for what you want to achieve, keeping in mind the time and effort you can realistically invest. Your progress will align with the consistency and energy you dedicate to your content. Adjust your goals as needed to match your availability.

3. Be Patient and Stay Consistent
Success doesn’t happen overnight. While some influencers might get viral overnight, lasting influence is built through relevance and consistency. Stay true to your chosen persona and resist the urge to follow trends that don't align with your brand. Perseverance and authenticity will set you apart.

- Audience research: Identify your target audience and understand their interests, pain points, and what kind of content they engage with.

2. Choose the Right Platforms
- Platform Selection: Select platforms that align with your niche and audience. Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter are popular for influencers.
- Platform Mastery: Focus on mastering one or two platforms initially before expanding to others.

3. Create a Brand Identity
- Profile Setup: Create a compelling bio, choose a memorable username, and use a high-quality profile picture.
- Consistent Aesthetic: Develop a consistent visual theme and color scheme for your content to make your profile visually appealing.
- Brand Voice: Establish a unique voice and tone that resonates with your audience.

4. Content Creation
- Content Plan: Develop a content calendar to plan and schedule your posts. Aim for a mix of content types (e.g., photos, videos, stories, reels).
- High-Quality Content: Invest in good equipment (camera, lighting) and editing software to produce high-quality content.
- Engaging Content: Focus on creating valuable, entertaining, and relatable content. Use storytelling techniques and share personal experiences.

5. Grow Your Audience
- Hashtags and Keywords: Use relevant hashtags and keywords to increase discoverability.
- Collaborations: Collaborate with other influencers, brands, and creators in your niche to reach new audiences.
- Engagement: Actively engage with your followers by responding to comments, messages, and participating in discussions.

6. Utilize Analytics
- Track Performance: Use platform analytics to monitor the performance of your posts and understand what works best.
- Adjust Strategy: Continuously refine your content strategy based on insights from analytics.

7. Monetize Your Influence
- Brand Partnerships: Reach out to brands for sponsorships and collaborations. Ensure they align with your niche and values.
- Affiliate Marketing: Promote products you love and earn a commission on sales through affiliate marketing programs.
- Merchandise: Create and sell your own branded merchandise.
- Ad Revenue: If you're on YouTube, enable monetization to earn from ad revenue.

8. Legal and Ethical Considerations
- Disclosures: Always disclose sponsored content and partnerships to maintain transparency with your audience.
- Contracts: Understand the terms and conditions of any agreements with brands or agencies.

9. Continuous Learning and Adaptation
- Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest trends, platform updates, and best practices in social media.

Zhuolong’s Answer

1: Minimum cost attempt.
If you have an idea, try it in a way that costs the least.
Start with your mobile phone, and try to build up your channel with 0 pro gears.

2: Distinct channel advantage.
Always ask yourself: why do people watch me instead of anyone else? How can I make my content distinct and stand out?
Another question will be: why does the platform push your content? How does my content benefit the platform?

3: MCN operation skill.
Publish your content on every single platform you can think of. If you are able to achieve point 1 and 2, then consider doing this:
Start 3-5 channels in completely different directions, and test how the market responds. By that, you are able to see the market's preferences in the shortest amount of time.
