This is a great question. Salaries really depend on where you work, and how long you have been working.
in Austin, Texas our district starts at about $50,000 a year.
If you want more accurate answer I would look up teacher pay scales on ISD websites.

Hey Arielle!
Great question! So I have thought in primary school previously and let me said that a teacher’s salary depends on a few things, kind of like how the amount of homework you get depends on the teacher’s mood.
First, experience matters. A brand-new teacher makes less, while a teacher who has been surviving—I mean, teaching—for 20 years earns more. Education helps, too. If a teacher has extra degrees, they get paid more (probably to make up for all those years spent studying instead of watching TV).
Where the teacher works also plays a role. In Canada, salaries vary by province. On average, a teacher makes $45,000 to $100,000 per year, which is about $3,750 to $8,300 per month before taxes. In some places, teachers can afford fancy vacations; in others, they’re just happy to afford extra snacks for the classroom.
Oh, and some teachers earn extra for coaching sports or running clubs—basically, if they decide to have even less free time.
At the end of the day, teachers don’t do it for the money—they do it for the joy of explaining fractions 100 times and answering fun questions like yours!

Greetings,
For your stated area, the average primary school teacher salary in Saint-Georges, Québec is $66,144 or an equivalent hourly rate of $32. This is an estimate and does not state if beginning salary or after years of experience. If you are interested in US salaries, https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/teacher-pay-by-state
Any of these will be estimates. Hope this helps.

In most public school districts, the teacher salary list is available to anyone. If you go to your local school districts website and search around, you should be able to find it.
The salary generally depends up on education and how long one has been teaching. I searched for "new york city public school teacher salary", and found this page: https://teachnyc.net/your-career/salary-and-benefits
A few additional points...The salary will vary greatly depending on WHERE you teach. NYC will have a different salary structure than Ames, Iowa. But, the cost of living in Ames would be less.
Also, salary is only part of the compensation package. Health insurance, retirement plans, funding for continuing education and more should all factor in.
