Hi again Vanessa,

You need to satisfy the pre-dental requirements before you can apply to Dental School:
https://ttuhscep.edu/sdm/admissions/application-requirements.aspx

You find information about the pre-dental program at Texas Tech here:
https://www.depts.ttu.edu/pphc/areas/Dental.php

Application to Dental School is through the Texas Medical and Dental Schools Application Service (TMDSAS): https://www.tmdsas.com/

If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact the admissions office: https://ttuhscep.edu/sdm/admissions/admissions-staff.aspx

I hope this helps for now! All the best to you!

Hi!
The required courses for dental school typically require
General Chemistry (with labs), Organic Chemistry (with labs), Biology (with labs), Physics (with labs), English (Composition and Literature), Mathematics (Calculus or Statistics), Biochemistry (sometimes optional but highly recommended), Psychology or Sociology (may be recommended for a well-rounded application). However, certain schools have different requirements, so I encourage you to check their website. My advice to you would be to gain clinical experience, maintain a strong GPA, and get involved! Best of luck!

There are general requirements, but dental schools may differ slightly in requirements, so I recommend you check the individual dental school's website for specific information.
Generally though, you will require one year of general chemistry, one of organic chemistry, a year of general biology, and a year of physics. Physics will probably require a year of calculus.
It is not necessary to be a physical sciences major, but it will likely be easier to complete all your requirements if you are a physical sciences major.
Good luck!
