Hello Kellen,
It is cool that you want to be a social worker, I’m currently in school for social work! In terms of what the biggest way social workers can make an impact is through advocacy for social justice. No matter what job you have in social work, you will always work with different people and will be trying to improve certain conditions of a situation. Being a leader, caring about yourself and caring about others will be very important in whatever you do in this field.

Social workers can make the biggest difference by:
Focusing on big changes: They should tackle the main causes of problems like poverty, unfair treatment, and lack of resources, instead of just dealing with the effects. This might mean pushing for new laws, organizing communities, and informing the public.
Helping people and communities: They should give people the tools and help they need to solve problems and improve their lives. This could be through counseling, education, job training, and connecting them to support groups.
Building strong connections: They should create trusting relationships with clients, coworkers, and community partners. This leads to better communication, teamwork, and results for everyone involved.
