I'm a second-year Software Engineer, and I truly understand how you're feeling. You're definitely not alone. Even though we're in different fields, this stage in our careers can be one of the toughest. Feeling lost, struggling to finish tasks, and dealing with stress—I've been through all of it.

Recently, I started an internship, and it felt overwhelming with all the studies, exams, and assignments. Everything seemed like mountains I couldn't climb. I got so stressed and lost that I felt sick. But these challenges are just part of being a beginner. We struggle because we're still learning how to manage our careers. It's important to remember that we're beginners, and it's okay to find it hard. We just need to take things one step at a time and accept where we are.

It might seem like it won't get better, but slowly, we'll adapt to the pace and become familiar with the information and systems in our careers. You're not alone, and I wish you the best of luck.

Lincoln,

Your question is truly impressive and reflects your keen understanding and ability to reflect. As an internal medicine doctor nearing the end of my fellowship in pulmonary/critical care, I've guided many learners through this journey. It's completely normal to feel a bit nervous when starting something new. Remember, in the hospital, you're never alone. We operate as a team, and you'll always have resources and support to help you make decisions. Together, we aim for the best outcomes for our patients. Even if you feel a bit overwhelmed, know that you belong here. You've got this!
