Has anyone gone to the Boston Architectural College?
Has anyone on here attended (or currently attending) Boston Architectural College? Do you have any suggestions on how best to succeed? I will be online at least during my first year of graduate school, but am hoping to transfer to in person for the second and third year.

Hey Katelynn
Congrats on starting your journey at Boston Architectural College buddy, and lemme say that’s a bold and exciting step, especially balancing online classes during your first year. I haven’t personally attended BAC, but I had a few connections previously who did, and I can share a few key takeaways that might help you thrive.
First, pace yourself. BAC’s model is unique because of its work-integrated learning structure. So, even if you're online at first, treat your projects like real-world briefs. Think of every assignment as a piece for your portfolio. That mindset will keep your standards high and help you stand out when it’s time to apply for internships or jobs.
Second, connect early and consistently with your professors and peers. Online programs can feel isolating if you let them, but it doesn’t have to be that way tbh. Be the student who emails a thoughtful question or stays a bit longer in virtual office hours. Many BAC grads say those small steps made a big difference in building meaningful relationships.
Third, use your environment, even remotely. Architecture is about more than buildings, it’s about context, function, and people.... Study your city, take photos, sketch, reflect on spaces that move you. Those personal reflections often lead to your most authentic design work.
Lastly Katelynn, don’t stress about transferring to in-person later. Lots of students have made that shift and thrived. So, focus on mastering the tools now, like...CAD, Revit, Adobe Suite. These will give you confidence whether you’re working remotely or in a studio.
Wishing you all the best in this next chapter dear, you're in for a challenging but deeply rewarding ride. You’ve got this and know you can always reach out to us if you need anything at all.
