Hi Carlos,
While in college try the different classes to see what interests you. Try either a co-op or internship to gain insight to your field preferences. Try to do this with one or two companies to not only gain experience but also see different perspectives. Through it all don't worry that you don't know the field you want to pursue. Make professional connections; ask them lots of questions on their journeys and career path. Embrace every experience and you will find your path.

Hi Carlos,
Try to take some internship to get more information about different fields. Even in human resources, there are various functions in different focuses. Like Talent Acquisition, Primarily responsible for recruiting new employees; Learning & Development, Focuses on providing training and development opportunities for employees; Compensation & Benefits, Concentrates on designing total rewards programs for staff; HR service, Manages onboarding, payroll, and service desk functions; HR Business Partner, Works closely with employees within a specific business unit. Gaining internship experience and connecting with professionals on LinkedIn or other social media platforms can provide valuable insights into these different functions and help you identify which may be the best fit for you.
