This recommendation was made by a draftsman who has worked with advanced 3D modeling software:

I use a MacBook Pro using AutoCAD for Mac, Sketchup and Adobe Suite. I have a M4 Pro chip. I have used Macs since high school so am familiar with their OS. With PCs, it is always best to purchase the highest level of specifications you can afford because PCs become obsolete so quickly. If you are on a budget, invest in a high performance graphics card first.

I would suggest contacting Dell customer service and ask them to advise the optimum set up that can handle Revit Architecture and a range of computer rendering applications. Unfortunately this will not be inexpensive especially since the hardware costs are just the beginning and you will have to purchase or subscribe to application licenses on an annual basis. You may want to consider renting/leasing the hardware until you're sure you're ready to commit to a purchase. You should also inquire if there are group purchase discount programs available at your school.

I'd also consider a Workstation like Dell Precision or HP Workstation rather than a gaming PC if you're planning to work on AutoCAD, SolidWorks and other CAD/CAE apps. Workstations are available as Desktop or Laptop and will offer much better graphics performance for design apps. They'll cost more than a std PC but usually come with a longer 3y warranty
In terms of specific configurations, get what meets the system requirements for the apps you're planning to run.
