As a hospital pharmacist for the past 16 years, the most rewarding part of my work has been helping patients, doctors, and residents—guiding them through correct therapies, doses, routes, counseling, and more. It's incredibly fulfilling to catch potential errors and to have physicians trust and rely on our advice to craft the best treatment plans for their patients.
Hospital pharmacy is truly worth it. You’ll see the direct impact of your work on patients' health every day. You'll apply everything you learned in pharmacy school and realize just how valuable all those years of studying were.
Of course, like every profession, it comes with its own challenges. But with perseverance and passion, you will shine no matter what!
Good luck to you—you’re on a meaningful and impactful path!

Hi Aaron,
There is nothing more rewarding than preserving and saving lives!
Every day, you are grateful for the many lives you have saved through your profession.
The ability to have a direct impact on patients' lives through medication management and counseling. Pharmacists are essential in helping patients understand their prescriptions, possible adverse effects, and drug interactions, all of which improve their general health and wellbeing. This direct interaction, as well as the opportunity to develop relationships with patients who trust your expertise is extremely rewarding.
Cheers! Get ahead in your career. A huge success awaits you.

Being a pharmacist is very rewarding because you are helping people and making a difference in their lives. But the field of pharmacy has changed dramatically over the years. I have been a pharmacist for over 20 years, and even though I love what I do, I would not advise the future generation to go into pharmacy. I say that because now you have to do at least 2 residencies to be competitive. Plus there are so many pharmacy schools now, that the market is overly saturated. To get a job you may have to move to the out skirts where mo one wants to be. I would seriously reconsider your path. But don't take my word for it. Research the profession. Look at the job market.Speak to other pharmacists and recent grads. I would look into becoming a PA or nurse practitioner. Less time in school, better pay, and they are in demand. If you really want job security, look into the mental health profession. Hope this helps. Wish you the best.
