C’s Answer

Planning & time management is key.

Transition to college is a big step in your journey. Be sure to enjoy the process...

Once you settle in, look for activities that interest you. Do not go into extracurriculars that you think medical schools will want to see, unless you are passionate about them. Find community volunteering activities aligned with your interests and engage in them. Science clubs and Honor Societies in healthcare are good to be. apart of.

Stay focused on your classes. If you are interested in sports, arts etc., pursue those as well if your schedule permits.

A well-rounded applicant stands out and is an asset to any college.

Good luck in college!

C recommends the following next steps:

Adjust to college life
Find Science or Healthcare focused clubs & participate in those that interest you
Talk to pre-med Advising office if there is one in your college
Volunteer in the community, local schools, hospitals etc.
