How will time be spread in my future college life; especially considering possibly working full-time, working out, school, and everything else I'm involved in?

I'm trying to become an Electrician if that helps.

Hi! For sure this is a busy life you have in front of you...but you're young and this is the best time to do it. Working full time and going to school is a LOT. You don't have to take the full course load that others do - make sure you have time to study, not just attend classes. And prioritize your health. Get 7-8 hours of sleep - this will save you in everything - school, work, social, etc. And working out is really important - even if it's just walking for a few minutes and getting outside. It makes you feel better physically, mentally and emotionally. Lastly - set some time for yourself - maybe that's working out, but that could also be spending a few min each day doing something just for you: journal, do some hobby like gardening, meditating, etc. Last - when studying set up study groups. This is the best and fastest way to learn and retain knowledge.

Hi Ethan! Being in college is an exciting journey, and it's all about what you make of it. You will definitely be busy, but that's part of the adventure! Creating a schedule and sticking to it can really help. Try to arrange your classes on the same days, maybe 2-3 days a week. This way, you can focus on school during those times and still have room for work, homework, exercise, and fun with friends.

For example, my daughter goes to school Monday through Thursday from 9:30 to 12:30. She has a 3-year-old, so she drops him off at 8:30 and picks him up at 2. After classes, she spends an hour catching up on work, meeting friends or professors, or grabbing a quick meal. She also works 3-4 evenings a week, takes care of two high-energy dogs, is active in her church, and still finds time for family and friends. It’s not always easy, but having a schedule makes it possible.

It's normal to get distracted sometimes, but keep your eyes on your goals and work hard to reach them! Remember to be kind to yourself. If you mess up, fail a test, or miss a class, it's okay—just aim to do better next time. In the end, all your efforts will be worth it!
