What specific study habits have been proven to be most effective for successful chiropractic students? #Spring25
I am a freshman at Catawba College and plan to transfer to North Carolina Central University in the fall of 2025. I am interested in declaring a major in exercise science and minoring in nutrition. My goal is to become a chiropractor, and I have plans to shadow and intern this summer at Healing Hands Chiropractic. #Spring25

There is no best study habit for chiropractic. You get a LOT of information dumped on you for the first 2 years of school. Take the time in undergrad and figure out how YOU best process and learn information. That is going to be crucial. I did best with reading, audio, and physically doing things. Drawing didn’t really help me. Other classmates, drawing was the only way to really remember information. Or they had to use flash cards.
I would also highly recommend going to multiple chiropractic offices, with varying styles to see which kind you like and to get a better feel for the profession. Chiropractors have a fairly large scope of practice in most states and this can allow you to have a wide range of styles.
Take the VARK learning styles questionnaire
Take the Honey and Mumford questionnaire
Shadow at least 3 different styles of chiropractors
